Position Overview
Defines enterprise cloud strategy, target-state architecture, technical standards, reference architectures, and multi-year modernization roadmaps across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design enterprise cloud strategies covering AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, private cloud, and on-premises environments as applicable.
- Create target-state architectures, cloud adoption frameworks, reference architectures, technology standards, and architecture decision records.
- Define workload-placement criteria based on mission criticality, performance, resilience, data residency, security, compliance, and cost.
- Design cloud landing-zone patterns, governance structures, network topology, identity strategy, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and operational models.
- Conduct cloud maturity assessments and develop phased roadmaps with initiatives, sequencing, staffing, risks, and success measures.
- Lead architecture review boards and align proposed solutions with NIST guidance, agency policies, security controls, and operational requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years in enterprise IT architecture, infrastructure architecture, application architecture, or cloud transformation; 5+ years designing cloud or hybrid-cloud architectures; demonstrated experience in at least two major cloud platforms. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF, or equivalent preferred.
