Position Overview
Performs the hands-on technical activities required to move servers, applications, databases, storage, and configurations to the target cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute rehost, replatform, and selected refactor migrations under the approved migration plan.
- Configure replication, data transfer, server migration, storage transfer, network connectivity, IAM mappings, and target-environment settings.
- Conduct pre-migration testing, pilot migrations, functional validation, performance validation, security validation, and production cutovers.
- Execute data synchronization and final cutover procedures; confirm application availability and user access.
- Maintain migration logs, issue trackers, evidence packages, reconciliation reports, rollback documentation, and lessons-learned records.
- Support hypercare, incident remediation, performance tuning, and post-migration operational handoff.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years in systems administration, cloud engineering, application support, database administration, or migration delivery. Hands-on experience with virtual machines, storage, networking, IAM, backup/recovery, migration tools, and PowerShell/Bash/Python preferred.
